What are Cookies?

A cookie is a small information file that is sent to your computer and is stored on your hard drive. If you have registered your email address with us then your computer will store an identifying cookie which will save you time each time you re-visit The Shopkeeper website, by remembering your email address. The Shopkeeper (“We”) are 100% committed to protecting the privacy of our website visitors and customers. We promise to be completely transparent about how we use your personal information. We will never sell your name, address, email address, credit card information or personal information to any third parties. We will not disclose or forward personal information about our customers to third parties except where it is part of providing a service to you or to comply with any legal obligation e.g. when arranging for an item to be sent to you by a courier/delivery company, or for carrying out credit or other security checks. We are compliant with the new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) from 25th May 2018.

You have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you. We would also really like to make sure that the personal information we hold about you is accurate and up to date. You can ask us to correct or remove information we have about you that is inaccurate. Security

All information you provide to us is stored on secure servers and encrypted using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology. This is an industry standard encryption method that encrypts data between your computer and our servers so that in the event of a network being insecure no data is passed in a format that could be easily deciphered. Unfortunately the transmission of information via the internet is not always completely secure. Although we will do our utmost to protect your data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site. Any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

Data Breaches

If personal data we hold about you is subject to a breach or unauthorised disclosure or access we will report this to the ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office). If this breach is likely to result in a risk to your data rights we will notify you as soon as possible.

Cancelling your subscription

You can opt out from receiving our email communications at any time by emailing us directly at hello@theshopkeeper.co.uk or by using the ‘Unsubscribe’ option located at the bottom of all of our emails.
